True to our mission and steeped in tradition, the Economic Council of Okeechobee has a proven track record of steering vital economic and civic initiatives that have significantly impacted the quality of life in Okeechobee County.

The Economic Council is a not for-profit, non-partisan body comprised of informed, passionate, and influential business leaders with a shared vision to serve as the catalyst that strengthens our community. The Council serves as a united voice for business and industry leaders to policy makers on matters affecting the vibrancy, viability and quality of life in Okeechobee County.

The Council was founded in 1990 with the expressed intent to promote the sound and judicious economic growth of the community, and to ensure the continual upgrading of the standards and quality of life of the citizens and residents of Okeechobee County.
